Hawaiian DaveI started making my FireSpices a good 10 years ago, mostly because off-the-shelf spices just didn't cut it for me. Never enough flavor, never enough heat.

After work some days, I used to run through Pike Place Market for a nice piece of fish or a juicy steak, zip through MarketSpice for a few flavoring spices, and well, I started experimenting.

I created Fire in the Hole first. It was pretty damn spicy and as a joke, would put toilet paper rolls in the fridge at BBQs as a warning to friends—1 roll meant that night’s feast was gonna be pretty hot. 3 rolls meant you might wanna keep the fire department’s number handy.

These days, all my spices are blended and packaged by MarketSpice. Yep, the same one you know and love for teas. As a long time customer and a common love of spices, we decided to partner up to unleash my FireSpices to the people and patrons of the Pike Place Market.
